Sam O'Hare is a musician from a small town in Maryland.

Sam O’Hare is an American singer-songwriter with down-home lyrics and a folk-rock sound that can be compared to John Mayer, Amos Lee, and Zac Brown. He writes music from an honest perspective, finding inspiration from real experiences, relationships, and nostalgia.

Inspired by his two older brothers’ guitar playing, Sam picked up his own at 13. His passion for the instrument was nourished by his dad’s support and avid love for music. He performed for the first time during his junior year at his high school’s variety show – forever changing his life. On that stage he realized he wanted to pursue a life of music. Following high school, he established himself as a regular performer in the local bar scene.

Looking to expand his skills and technical knowledge of music, he auditioned for Towson University’s music program, but was declined. It served as motivation to better his craft, and the following year he was accepted into Boston’s Berklee College of Music to pursue songwriting.

Berklee provided a wealth of knowledge and contacts that prepared Sam for a career in music. He gained an extensive knowledge of music theory, developed a stronger ear, and studied guitar and songwriting under some of the finest in the industry.

After graduation, he returned to Maryland and further solidified himself in the Chesapeake region’s music scene. During those years he worked on recording what would be his first solo album. In December of 2019, he ran an incredibly successful crowdfunding campaign to fund the final stages of the album-making process.

The album is set to release on streaming platforms the latter half of 2020.
